Tamil Nadu, Pondy Plastic Association (TANPPA) came into existence on 14-07-2006 at Femina Hotel, Trichy. Initially it was known as Tamil Nadu, Pondy Plastics Manufacturers and Merchants Association. As the name was long and unwieldy and as it had to face a number of difficulties administratively, on 25.04.2014 its name was changed as Tamil Nadu, Pondy Plastic Association without shedding its essential features. The basic aim of the Association was to serve for the growth plastic industry and to protect the interests of the entrepreneurs and to be in tune with the time.
